User Advisory - ALTAIR? 4X and ALTAIR? 5X Multi-Gas Detectors
We are issuing the attached User Advisory concerning the instructions provided on the CDs shipped with ALTAIR? 4X and ALTAIR? 5X Multi-Gas Detectors before September 24, 2012.
CHANNEL PARTNER/MFG. REP. INFORMATION:
MSA recently determined that the CDs containing the user instructions shipped with ALTAIR? 4X and ALTAIR? 5X Multi-Gas Detectors before September 24, 2012 contained information that can, be interpreted as, stating that these detectors are MSHA approved. Although MSA is planning to obtain MSHA certification, these detectors are not currently approved by MSHA.
As a precaution, MSA is issuing the below User Advisory to purchasers of affected ALTAIR 4X and ALTAIR 5X detectors.
